Supplies for Toothpick Beach Chairs
- Toothpicks (standard wooden toothpicks work best)
- Ruler
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Scissors
- Acrylic craft paint
- Small detail paintbrush
- Cardstock (white or colored)
How to Make Mini Toothpick Beach Chairs
Step 1: Cut the Toothpicks
Using a ruler, cut the toothpicks to the lengths shown in the reference photo so all chair pieces are ready before assembly.
Step 2: Create the Chair Sides
Take the two longest toothpicks and the two second-longest toothpicks and hot glue them into two small cross shapes, which will form the sides of the chair.
Step 3: Connect the Chair Frame
Using the shortest toothpick, glue the two crosses together at the center point where they meet to create the base frame of the chair.
Step 4: Add the Chair Arms
Glue the two remaining toothpicks to the ends of the frame as shown in the photo to form the chair arms.
Step 5: Make the Seat
Cut a strip of cardstock 1½ inches wide, hot glue it across the frame to form the seat and back, then trim off any excess paper.
Step 6: Paint and Decorate
Use acrylic craft paint and a small brush to paint stripes, solids, or patterns on the chair to match your theme.

Add a tiny drink umbrella and use your toothpick beach chair as:
- A cake topper for beach-themed cakes
- Decoration for pudding cups with crushed vanilla cookies as “sand”
- Party decor for summer or poolside celebrations
