Midway Utah, also known as "Little Switzerland" is the perfect day trip location for Utah natives and vistors alike. Located 45 minutes south of Salt Lake City, Midway is known for it's beautiful mountain scenery and it's Germanic heritage. The town is filled with shops, architecture, and activities inspired by it's 1850 Swiss settlers.
I spent a snowy January day exploring the city, but I'm here to share all the best that Midway has to offer.
Activities
Midway offers plenty of activities for the whole family — from summer lake adventures to wintery fun in the snow. We enjoyed the town's outdoor ice rink and ice castles.
Shops and Architecture
You can spot a Swiss influence in countless store fronts and shop interiors around Midway. Take a leisurely stroll along main street and stop in anywhere interesting.
